Does anybody locally (central IL) do tranny rebuilds?

I was at a TCC show and some guys were talking to me and Dion (XICC pres.) about how they could rebuild my tranny, and give me a loaner to use while they're rebuilding it. I'm pretty sure you guys were from DSMcentral.

Anyway, After Basic Training, I am pretty sure I want to use some of my money on rebuilding my tranny, seeing as it is hard to go into 2nd and won't go into 3rd fast, at all.

I would send it off to shep, because I know his rebuilds are nice, but I like the "loaner tranny" idea, and I woul hope locally it would be cheaper.

Slopony has a good reputation around here. I've heard as low as $175 plus parts for a rebuild. 309-699-7569.

Otherwise you're looking at John Shepherd or TRE(more expensive than Shep).
