the last couple days after i start my car when it's been sitting there for a couple hours. the first left hand turn i make or if i go straight for about 100yrds there's a knock under the left side of the car. it's not the engine ...it sounds like something with my front left arm but i'm not sure. anyone have this happen before?
it only does it once. start...drive...one clunk...then fine. -------------------- it's not a dsm unless it's leaking something

Sounds almost like something buckling or binding. I don't know why it would only do it once every trip, though. Does it do it EVERY time you drive the car? Take a look behind the wheel and give everything a good tug.

If I've had my car up on jackstands for a while and then drive it, sometimes I get a clunk from my springs settling, but it doesn't happen regularly. I'd take at look at the ball joint, sway bar end link, and tie rod end.

we (travis and I) had it on his lift for about an hour messing with the oil pressure gauge but that was it. it does it about 7 out of 10 times...it's just one of those sounds that you don't like hearing.

How's Wednesday for ya? I can run to Bloomington after work. Say meet at 5:30 or so? Give me a call on my cell.
BTW, its the bolt that runs through the center of the mount that was lose. It will do it whenever the motor kicks forward or backward, aka first to reverse will keep on doing it. -------------------- GVR4 866/1000 = the perpetually broken car
