This was kind of spun off of kazz's post.... we were discussing the fitment of a steering wheel from the EVO on a 1G DSM....

does anyone know if it fits?
I really like the style of it and would like to find one if it does fit.

thanks in advance for the info

Well, if you are looking for one, and not many people sell theirs, and you are forced to go new. Get ready to pay out the rear for one. Depending on where you go to get the wheel. The new one will be in the 1500-1700 range. Like I said, I want that black one on the new Evo, but I ain't paying that kind of money just to change colors. But, to each his own. If you want it that bad, by all means get it.

there's a hell of a lot better looking steering wheels out there for cheaper and that don't have airbags in them. you'll have a hell of a time getting that to work on a 1g and I think the end result wouldn't be as good as the stock wheel. Now a 2g _might_ work with it. But even then I doubt it.

Thanks for the advice gentlemen,

I figured that I would run into these type of problems (price mostly) I might find something better and better priced somewhere else
