Pretty sure I was having trouble with old fluid boiling too quickly, it seems better after a fluid flush and bleed. It was probably the original brake fluid.

Just as a bit of info, a mere 3% moisture contamination in your fluid will decrease the boiling point of your fluid by over 100 degrees.
On a litmus-paper test, most 10-15 year old cars I've tested are in the 5-7% range, meaning you have instantaneous brake fade, due to a brake fluid boiling point in the low 200's. Bleed'em skippy, get some fresh DOT 5.1. Not plain dot5, it's a different fluid all together. -------------------- 2009 Scion Tc

Wow, I can't believe you went to the expense of Cobra rotors and 3S 4-pot calipers and your going to rely on a piece of card board to mount the calipers!!! Hahaha

If I had the real caliper adapter, they'd be on the car already.

You must be going to some bigger wheels too. There's no way those cobra rotors will fit under the stock wheels.

Got these all put together the other day:
![]() They work pretty well, no fade was evident in testing. I think an upgrade of stainless lines and a 3/S TT master cylinder may be in order, as the pedal feel isn't the best. -------------------- Eric Wort
