since I have decided to use the GSX as a street/show car now, I need to help it loose the "battle scars"

first things, my paint, while from a distance looks good, looks like crap up close.
I have minor scratches and one ding. there is also some issues where the paint peeled slightly when unmasking it and it just doesn't "shine" the way I like it too.
I need to find a paint shop that does good work on a budget.

second thing.... my drivers side window doesn't roll up straight.... I know this is fairly common on DSM's, what is the fix???

third.... my suspension rattles like a mother when I hit bumps (has since I have bought it) I understand that a 12 year old car will rattle, but is there an economic fix or something to atleast quiet the rattled down???

fourth.... I need seats. I would like a set of "racing seats" for the front (leather prefered or some of those blue and black seats from the EVO) and a shop that can re-upholster the rear to match the new fronts

fifth.... I need to get my valve cover and timing belt cover (need an uncracked timing belt cover too) powder coated or maybe a better paint than I used before... I painted it blue and sanded the lettering clean, then clear coated it... I used the high temp stuff you are supposed to use on brake calipers, but that is starting to fade with the heat under the hood

sixth.... headliner is falling down..... what the hell do i do to fix that????

seventh.... losing coolant somewhere.... no puddles, no white smoke.... WTF???

wow.... that seems like a lot of things wrong for a car that I have poured so much dough into.... someone help!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried everything on mine, the final solution was cleaning the track with simple green and spraying the track top to bottom with spray silicone from Napa.

try going over it with an iron the fabric is held to the fiberglass with thin sheet of plastic sometimes you can remelt the plastic, sometimes it don't work. but it is a free fix and worth a shot.

Or, you can do what I did and just get it reupholstered. The guy that did mine is no longer in business but just about any good upholstery shop will do it. Mine was $100 and I had it redone in black.

As well with the headliner sometimes spray n starch works to keep it up. If it's all torn up, you could take it down and redo it yourself. It's not that hard, just get some fabric and some 3m fabric glue. Cut to fit, spray on the glue, tack it in place and just like new.

I had to actually remove the window and tracks and "straighten" the tracks with a little TLC from a hammer. Apparently the track's radius was too tight for the glass, and that caused the binding. Good as new when I got done.
