You'd be better off finding a new or used evo VIII shift knob.

To be honest I actually prefer the feel of the 2G shift knob over the stock Evo knob. If you like buying new, you can find them on Machv.com .

The stock 3000GT SL shift knob is very nice aswell. The throw feels very short with it. I got one from a buddy of mine and I don't think I'll change to anything else, it just feels so good.

really? that's not a bad idea though to try as I think i've got a 2g laying around somewhere.

On a side note, I put a short throw bm shift kit on my 8 at 45% shorter and dayumm, that throw is as short as a midget doing limbo.

Yeah, no doubt its shorter, but doesn't it seem like it increases the throw effort? I've always been kinda wishy-washy on my B&M, but I guess the only other Evo I've driven with a stock shifter is Kazz's.
