 Pipe thread for PVC line to intake? |

I'm removing the PCV connection out of my valve cover and routing it to my catch can.
I removed the beaded connector in the manifold and was going to use that in the valve cover in place of the PCV. Is the port in the intake manifold a 1/8" NPT??? I tried screwing in a 1/8" NPT plug and it didn't seem to want to go in. I just didn't want to force it. british is pretty much universal (psuedo metric) for the rest of the world that doesn't use national pipe thread. numerous japanese cars that I've worked on use bspt. makes it just hard enough to not be able to find the correct pitch, thread count, or diameter when trying to mate something up.
the whole pipe thread industry has very little standardization. I thought it was interesting to learn that that AN fittings everyone uses made by companies like moroso, aeromotive, earls, etc... aren't standardized either. stuff like the back cut angle, threads, and seat pitch aren't specified in the ARMY-NAVY specifications. -------------------- my cars breath smells like car food
