My spirits are crushed. My life bleak. That which was so important to me has been taken away, never to be seen again, let alone used to it's ability. My balls and the goat were exchanged for an insultingly low amount of money today. mad.gif mad.gif

Dumbass, redneck, three-foot tall towtruck driver wouldn't believe that it should be transported on a flatbed. "It won't hurt anything. coot-coot!" rolleyes.gif Fine. It's your car now, dumbass. He then proceeded to back his car (at this point) into an Escalade while pulling out, and drove about 2mph off the base. ohmy.gif I hate this fucking state and everything it represents!!!! mad.gif

My injury is compounded with insult, for I know in my heart that my days with go-fast cars are over for a long, long time. Starting a business when I get back, and despite many attempts by Dan to disuade me from procreating ph34r.gif , kids may be on the horizon soon. I don't think there'll be any room for another DSM in my garage. Why couldn't this thing have broken down before I left town? sad.gif

At least I made some friends, and got to meet a lot of cool people (including a long-awaited reunion with Natedogg). I have never met so many people that are so willing to help someone out. I'm planning on hanging around for a while to offer help to others, and see what happens on the site. Much thanks to Marcus who started me on this ride. Have a better day than me (seriously, someone needs to have a suck-free day).

Joe,
So sorry to hear. I do know for a fact this community still keeps former DSM owners around, mainly to harrass and beat to a bloody pulp racing. But, it's fun non the less. I hope sometime we can meet up and catch up. I met up with the Misses over the summer. I hope you can find a project soon that can bring joy back to your life. Having a void that big from something like that can suck. But, look at the bright side... you're almost done takin' it from Uncle Sam, and, like you said, you have a business startin' up. Best of Luck, dude.

Sad news, Joe. I give you a month before you have a new project car of some kind in the garage. biggrin.gif Doesn't necessarily have to be a DSM, but we all know once the mod bug gets ya it doesn't let go easily. Give me a shout when your back in the area.

Anyone know of a remedy to a wife that is threatening to slice certain parts of your body off with a dull pair of scissors if you decide to ever get a DSM again? I seem to have come down with a bad case of that lately. sad.gif

Pressing onward, I will definitely give you guys a call when I get back into town. We could even set up a welcome home Joe party (WHJP to the layperson) for when I roll back into my Gotham in a much less apt batmobile. Catching up, eating food, drinking drinks, hitting on your friends' wives (and dogs). It'll be great.

I just can't wait to leave Texas. My roomate just tore ligaments in his ankle, and he's quite the fussy bitch about it. I thought he was a woman before his injury, but DAMN! One of those guys that can't just sit there and shut the hell up. I had to come to the library and check this thread because he was sitting there watching - I shit you not- Oprah. Mother of God. At any rate I'll be rid of him in Little Rock. Hells yeah to my own room and a full week of visiting from the wife!! biggthumpup.gif biggthumpup.gif

People that watch oprah need to die a slow painful death, but not before the host of that excrutiatingly ignorant program.

I've been praying to Satan for the death of that thing since before Christopher Lowell made my #2 on the need-to-die deathlist. I have very little tolerance for stupidity of that nature.

Sucks about your car, but as Nate said, you'll be back at it again before you know it, otherwise you're a QUITTER!!

Let's see....I have a perfectly good block and head. Hmmmmmmmm. [Sound of mechanical gears springing to life inside head] This might have some potential behind it. Build the shit out of the engine, and convince the wife to buy another chasis........very interesting. We shall see.

i have to agree with ncgalant. the evo is an awesome family car. i mean come on.....4 doors, great handling, safe, not 100% sports car feel/look. looks like a family car to me....plus you can juice it up to 400whp in your spare time.

and carseats can fit in the back seat...no problem biggthumpup.gif biggthumpup.gif
