ok guys,
here is a list of parts that I am looking to find to start stage II of project Mutant GSX.

if you have the parts, I will be home in less than a month so I will start paying for and picking them then.
if you don't have them, but know where I can get them, please reply and let me know where to find said parts.

1. EVO VIII front and rear seats
2. EVO VIII steering wheel
3. AFPR
4. Eprom ECU with wort custom burned chip
5. 6-bolt block
6. ACT 2600 clutch
7. Fidanza flywheel (6-bolt)
8. white faced electric Fuel pressure guage (52mm or 2 1/16")
9. braided steel brake hoses
10. adapter to run -6AN fuel line from the tank forward
11. highflow fuel filter (-6AN fitted)
12. disc style 750 or better fuel injectors
13. clutch slave cylinder extended push rod
14. stainless clutch line
15. stainless turbo oil/coolant lines
16. stock 1 piece rear spoiler
17. egr block off plate
18. balance shaft removal kit (6-bolt)
19. BBK or other larger than stock throttle body
20. good looking paint job with out the runs and orange peel that are currently on the car.
21. Fluidyne or equivalent radiator (with the front mount, I don't want cooling issues)

that list should get me started and definately keep fresh oil on my coveralls.

I am sure that a majority of these parts can be obtained at KOU Motorsports once they get their internet site up and running, then again I would love to get down there and finally see the shop that they have going on there. maybe while I am there I can just pick up a bunch of this.

stage II looks like a promising one and definately looks to be the most expensive of the stages to be done thus far.

Thanks for the space,
Ben

I've got a friend that paint cars as a hobby, he's very good and very professional (anal).

I'll see what his schedule is looking like

One thing I have to say about the list. If you are going to run 750s or larger, get an EPROM ECU and have Wort burn a chip for it. Tuning with an SAFC/MAFT/AFPR for injectors that big is going to be nothing but a pain.

That's a heckuva list Ben, that's like starting over.

I am also going to be looking into a burnt chip for the 850's I'm buying from Nate. At the same time I'm going to tune with the MAFT which had no problem dialing in my 780's and currently runs Nates 850's with no problems by it's self. This may partially be due to the fact that Nate and I are both running the disk type injectors with better spray patters. This usually helps idle a lot from what I've gathered.

your right, that is a heck of a list, but it is the things that I missed on during stage I of the project.

as for tuning with the MAFT, thats how I got the 550's, non-disc type (current setup) dialed in with the help of NCGalant and I was thinking that a SAFC would help with the bigger injectors.... maybe I am wrong.

I thought about the eprom ecu with a wort chip, but only after I copiled my list of parts .....

updated!!! to show eprom with wort chip instead of SAFC**

Ive only seen huge problems with people trying to run both a safc and a maft. Good luck with it!

but I should be ok with running a maft with a wortdogg custom burned epom chip right???

now that I think about it, if you run a maft and a safc, it's like having an adjuster for your system, then having an adjuster for the adjuster

looks like the eprom with wort chip and the maft is the way I want to go too.

I'm currently running 850's on a chip burnt for stock injectors and a MAFT. Will be going to 950's. I foresee some idle issues when coming off throttle...until I get the 1G DSMlink that is. biggthumpup.gif

*BUMP* for needing parts.

BTW... I added a fluidyne or equivalent radiator to my list. If I am going to be running a FMIC, I don't want to see cooling issues.

will I need slim line fans for clearance with a radiator like that???

here's where I am on stage II of the project:

CF Taillights installed
Billet aluminum spark plug cover installed
Cusco catch can installed
spark plugs changed BPR7ES
Upper radiator hose changed
front bumper removed in prep for FMIC

removing the old side mount today and hopefully getting the FMIC mounted in place.

Plumbing probably tomorrow.

I'll keep you all informed

hey guys... I know that it has been a while since I have posted on this thread, but here's the scoop.

FMIC, installed, but not hooked up... I just found a guy that has the equipment and knowledge to weld up a complete custom IC piping kit to hook up that EVO VIII FMIC.

also, kris just helped me hook up my SAFC II tonight... biggthumpup.gif props to kris biggthumpup.gif right now I have it setup at 0% correction until I get it logged and find out what I need to do.... so now all I need to do is find someone that can teach me how the hell to log my car and tune it accordingly... I have the logger, just don't know how to use it.

picked up the 6-bolt from nate and am looking at building it for stage 3 of the project. biggthumpup.gif props to nate biggthumpup.gif

but, in the mean time, the GSX is up and running on the re-installed side mount until I get the plumbing made for the still installed FMIC.
