Never mind about the fuel pump, akamiami helped me with that one. I should be there, if I don't blow my car up on the way

ARRRRGGGGGGGG!!!! Last night, putting the car back together with Rob's assistance, the timing belt tensioner felt soft and we noticed that the axle shaft boot was splayed wide open spilling grease all over my new wheels. Some how me Mr. El Super Retardo forgot to bolt the brake line back up onto the strut and it was hanging down just right so that the sharp piece of metal had cut into the brand new axle shaft's boot.
In short, my car will not be there but I will make an appearance to save face. I didn't want to chance the entire motor on a soft tensioner and spit grease all over the brand new wheels. Sorry to dissappoint you boys. Budmann, I'll be looking for you. -------------------- "I hear he tunes the space shuttle also...and that thing is fast"

I had the new FMIC and piping and MBC installed last night and decided I was finished with leak testing at 12:30 ... took her off jackstands this morning and she fired right up. A few minutes of driving and I realized the MBC was way off. A few more minutes and I decided I couldn't resolve it and will have to go back to the softer spring and start over. I just said "screw it", stayed out of it, and drove there.
Overall a good time! Good food - brats were tasty but the sauces/relishes for the noodles rocked. Didn't see anyone I knew for almost 2 hours. Loser at the drawing, but shot a few pics, shook a few hands, leered at some cars... Sorry I couldn't make the after but I've got more to do on the car and around the house this weekend - have fun though! -------------------- ... she likes bein' forced ...

I ended up not going and working on the Talon instead. Got the IC pipe issue fixed only to have a coolant line issue pop up. I'll get her running 100% one of these days...

I went and had a really good time despite not taking the Talon. I really wish I could have made it but under the circumstances, I didn't want to risk it. I saw Kazz, AWD DSM 1, Mitsu 77, JVB, Wortdog, and a whole host of other people from other boards. I saw Budmann's car but never got to see him in person along with a ton of other 1G's that were there. The majority of the cars were EVOs followed by the Eclipses and 3000GTs. Got a tour of the plant for the fourth time and see the concept cars. Brats were very tasty as well. BTW Kazz, where were the noodles? I saw all those other sauces and thought they were toppings for the brats. The manilla colored cream sauce tasted good on my brat!

Man guys I had a blast, it's nice to see they appreciate us. I Was there during the drawing and won a Rockford Fosgate T-shirt. One up for me, woo-hoo! And I took the last tour of the plant.
Turbohcar, were you wearing a maroon mitsu shirt? Because if so I seen you, at least I thought it was you. Said Brett on the shirt and didn't want to make an ass of myself, If it wasn't you. This person (we will call him that for now) was sitting in the new Evo 9 passanger side. Explaining the car to the guy in the drivers seat, dreaming more like it. Was this you turbohcar? Other than that it was great to see all the other cars. I really liked the red 2G with all the yellow under the hood. Whoevers that is PROPS to you man. I wished the would have taken comments though. Then we could have asked why the 4g doesn't have an AWD or turbo option. -------------------- |

QUOTE (spyonu2007 @ Oct 22 2005, 03:58 PM) QUOTE (turbohcar @ Oct 22 2005, 09:32 PM) The manilla colored cream sauce tasted good on my brat! Funny, your old lady told me the same thing about mine. I knew spy and his mini-hot dog couldn't pass that one up The noodles were in the little white chinese food containers. They weren't always out at all the stands; they weren't good at restocking the stand, just dishin' out their brats - which, I'll admit, were very tasty. Alot of folks are "hoping" they do it next year so I guess at least some are a bit dubious. I didn't hear a location. The $100 gift certificates from AMS, $50 from Buschur, etc, were nice prizes! -------------------- ... she likes bein' forced ...

I got there a bit late and didn't get a chance to look at everything or talk to everyone, especially since I was constantly harassed by 3/S owners for some reason
It was also interesting making the trip considering I had just finished dropping the motor in right before we left for BN. -------------------- Eric Wort

Dan, you must be sick. You're bratwurst isn't supposed to be covered with manila colored stuff. Are you sure you don't have another venerial disease? Kazz complemented you Dan, I would have called it a little smokie!
Budmann, yes that was me. Wort, sorry for not coming up to talk to you. I was simply marveling at those gigantic brakes and the fan mounted on the back of your stock IC to draw air through it. By the time Rob and I saw where you were you were already talking with some other guys. I was amazed you made it myself after hearing that you had blown it up that week. -------------------- "I hear he tunes the space shuttle also...and that thing is fast"
