Are the blocks for the six bolt and the seven bolt the same. I need to know because i have a 2g that I am going to put a six bolt motor in. I have an extra 2g block laying around and was wondering if the blocks were the same. If so I am going to order a rebuild kit with a .20 over bore for a 1g and use that block. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Blocks are NOT the same. You will have to find a 90-92.5 block.

I am sure there is a lot of documentation out there on the swap but Magnus seems to have a pretty good list of what is required for the 6-bolt swap. Check out the parts list about half way down the page in this link...

I'm taking my 7 bolt from my 2g up to speed design next week to have them do a "crank walk fix" after researching putting a 6 bolt in a 2g i decided to use a 7bolt. i talk to a lot of ppl who had nothing but problems... and especially my application my 2g will only see about 300 whp, and they race with their 7 bolt that had the fix and theres been no problems
