 2g upgrade path, which way to go |

There are thousands of different ways to upgrade dsms out there. I have a 95 gst and want to run atleast in the 13's and beat up on some street cars. I plan on getting an evo III 16g but was wondering what the best upgrade path to achieve these goals would be?
I was thinking: -evo III 16g turbo -FIC 650's -have 2.5" intercooler piping for sidemount, but will be getting frontmount in near future -have full 3" turbo back exhaust -have aem fuel rail -gm maf and mafT -have apexi safc II -mbc with all this done do you guys think that this goal could be achieved? -------------------- "One of the most Crazy and Undecisive Members in central Illinois"

What you have should do what you want...don't forget about a clutch.

Its a good start. Like scrapin alluded to, traction is going to be your biggest limiter. Things like sticky tires, stiffer suspension, an LSD, solid motor mounts, equal length half-shafts will help you in with traction on a fwd.

Shoot, I missed the FWD side of it. I tend to think AWD all the time!

I have a slow boy lsd and the car does have different suspension on it just unsure of the brand. What is a good brand of tires for the traction side of things?

Ive heard good news about the nittos and that was the direction I was planning on taking. The SB Lsd seems to be a good product and I don't have any troubles with it. Although it does keep me from downshifting like I used to.

no, not downshifting all together. It wont let you grind into gears or downshift at unecessary rpms. It is really good for going straight to the next gear though. Short shifter helps also. I dont grind gears but just an example.

I know that LSD means limited slip differential right? So is this in the tranny trey? Is it just for the fwd or both? I am just curious like George.

yes it is in the tranny. I am pretty sure they make them for both applications also. I think the reason why my tranny blew up a few months back was because the guy who installed the lsd didnt tighen the nut all the way when he installed it. I have no problem with my clutch engaging/disengaging or anything as far as shifting. So from my experience with it so far its well worth it.

got another ? what would be a better turbo to get since there is only about $250 difference. The evoIII 16g or the bastard 20g? for the little extra money would it be worth it just to get the 20g?

20g supports more hp but requires more supporting mods and won't spool quite as fast.

then in that case I will prolly just spend the extra $200 on some other type of modifications.
