I just recently got this off Budmanng and have a ? about installing. Instead of searching for all the special little plug type connectors could I just use scotch locks, since its basically doing the same thing and not splicing the wire. Didnt know if I had to use the specific plugs that it originally came with.
Thanks in advance. -------------------- "One of the most Crazy and Undecisive Members in central Illinois"

if you call apex-i...... they will fax you or mail you specific instruction sheets just like they did for me.... the instructions are very specific as to what wires go to what and where on those wires they should be spliced to.....

And don't believe for a second that a vampire or crimp connection is as consistent as a solder joint. I'm not a big fan of those 3M numbers you mentioned earlier for the simple fact of vibrations + knife edge in a wire = eventual failure. Now I know that guys run these all the time, and I have a few on my own car, I just don't like the concept.

I don't understand why you had to call Apexi. I gave you everything with the control unit. You have all install and setup instructions. So why?

I thought it was made clear that you need to solder the connections, not use some crimp or vampire method. Why do you need to buy clips? Or are you talking about something else, and I'm confused.

It has barrel connectors on it for the mafs. I think it is called air intake. He just has to go to an electronics store and buy some male and female barrel connectors. Radio Shack!
