First of all a big thank you to Mitsu 77 for use of the trailer and for going down to help me get my car.

The car starts and runs but it idles at about 5K blink.gif I will be swapping out the throttle body and putting on a 1G (again) mad.gif Does anybody have any other ideas as to what may be causing that high of an ilde?

Also does anybody have any thermostat, valve cover, or throttle body gaskets that they would be willing to part with.

I think I've got a couple TB gaskets... I'll have to check.

ECU good? definately check the vacuum lines. That's odd.... I've got a service manual for a 95 if you'd like to borrow it.

That would be great...........I had the cover off of the ECU and nothing looked out of place or damaged and it was good when it was parked way back when....if I can get ahold of a 2G ECU I will try hooking it up to see if that does anything.

Also check the EGR valve for leaks, I had one that caused a high idle.

buy the look of that throttle body that might fix it. If you need it I have an extra fluke meter to set up your 4 pin TPS on the new TB.

have you done a boost leak check yet? Maybe you are just missing a big hose(PCV/BOV). Make sure and double check your base timing also.

Thank's for all the reply's and suggestions. I am not going to put a time table on it I am just going to say that it should (hopefully) take less then 20 hrs of diagnostics and work.rolleyes.gif

I/we will be working on it Saturday morning/afternoon so if anybody is bored and wants to come over and help or watch and laugh feel free

I will be out to play soon, I'll just be like the kid in High School that everybody beats up on but keeps coming back for more biggrin.gif

Monday would be great. I get home about 4:00. You can call me at 267-0426 or you can get ahold of Bob (mitsu 90) and he can give you directions.

Mitsu 77...........that would come in pretty handy if you have the time.

Hey Dan.......I found this on another site.....

"He's pretty upset over the whole thing, and Im the one that suggested that he use this shop in the first place. I feel it is my place to find him someone who can help, even if I foot the bill."

It's not neccesary but I will take a big 16G if you have one biggthumpup.gif j/k
