Finally took a few minutes to pull the tire off my car to find the constant squealing noise coming from the passenger side front wheel. Turns out the pad was wore down to the point that the wear indicator was rubbing all the time.

Answered my own question... Cross drilled can't be turned... Screws up the cutting bit.
Anybody got at least a passenger side front rotor in decent shape? I'm pretty sure I have a driver's side at home. Rob -------------------- The fastest car I own is a minivan....

I wish I did bud but I dont. While we are on the discusion of brakes and rotors, I hate the ones that come from the MMMA factory. they suck. I have had my car 7 months and they were warped! GRRR. time to buy new rotors already or have these turned??? If I have these turned with they warp again??? Damn Rotors!

A lot of newer car's rotors aren't really thick enough to turn, especially if they are warped or deeply gouged. I'd say replace them with some nice aftermarket ones. I think that the stock rotors on a lot of cars can't handle extreme braking, Kristy has warped them on almost every car she's ever owned. I've never really had a problem, until now. I know the GM ones are especailly prone to warpage.
And yes, turned rotors would be more prone to warp. -------------------- The fastest car I own is a minivan....

You're welcome to the stockers from the parts car. Supposedly worked fine when it ran but they were a bitch to remove. If you want them though, they're yours. I'll look to see if I have the pads too. Could be a freebie fix that way if you're lucky.

Thanks Travis, but I just picked up new rotors and pads from Advance. Figure this will last until I can do the big brake upgrade.
