so i thought the trans blew up again but it turns out it was something far worse.
  the dowl came out of the crankshaft and was bouncing between the clutch and the flywheel. now it looks like someone used my fidanza as a frisbee and dropped it on the asphalt. the most expensive dowl know to man... i hate my life. --------------------  |

What is the dowl supposed to be held in with anyways? it is pressed into the crankshaft. it isn't as bad as it looks... it is still smooth it just isn't the machined finish anymore. i am really tempted to throw a scatter shield on it and put it back together. it is all lined up (i never pulled off the flywheel) and there are no gouges in it. it came out durring normal driving and when the clutch was enguaged there was no noise (because it was held between the clutch and the flywheel) it happened on the road and i drove to a buddies house in 4th gear the whole time with no problems. the only concern is that it isn't balanced anymore but like i said their are no chunks missing it is just scraped and the light reflects and that is why it shines like they are deep cuts the flash makes it look real bad. but i am going to order a scatter sheild just in case. -------------------- |

Looks fine Jim throw it back together and use the trany that you had SloPony built for you. Get it done, i'm going to get the trailer so we can go to GLD.

FP 3065, Ported 2G exahust manifold, AEM EMS, 3" 02 housing, Shepard Racing Stage 3 tranny, Fadinza 8 LB. flywheel, Exedy stage 2 tripple puck thick ceramic cluch, 08 from the tank to filter, -6 to rail from filter, Aeromotive FPR 1:1 riseing rate, Crower Stage 4's. All of that and I don't know what I want to do next. |
