Hey guys what kind of tranny fluid are you running. Hoping to dump all fluids back in the car ASAP to start her up again. Fingers crossed the hole time.

Ask Natedogg, Marcus, and most everyone else here. Synchromesh works great and quiets noisy and grinding transmissions.

What turbo recommends is correct. It's pretty much the "universal" trans fluid for DSMs. biggthumpup.gif

I don't believe so, but could be wrong.

I'd check around to make sure ATF is compatible with the bearing materials in our trannies. I know certain tranny oils are made to be compatible with either bronze alloy or aluminum alloy bearings and putting an incompatible oil in will actually break down the bearing material. I honestly don't know if ATF is safe or not.

If you're running an auto tranny I suppose.

Gear oil for a manual tranny and ATF are very different animals.

I know where he's coming from. Putting ATF in manual trannies is something people have been doing on certain cars for a while to improve shift quality, but ATF isn't compatible with all manual trannies.
