Ok guys, I have been dicking with this since I owned the car and need help asap. The following parts have been replaced:
slave cylinder clutch & pressure plate clutch fork pivot ball SS clutch line rebuilt tranny throwout bearing throwout bearing spring Now to the problem, When i first installed the tranny and blead the clutch the car backed out of the garage normal and fine. Today when i tried to go into reverse ( or any gear ) it grinds. I am pretty sure that the clutch fluid system is loosing pressure somehow but not !00% sure. If i try to put it into gear slowly in will not go all the way in and moves forward ( which is the clutch not being engaged all the way, duh! ) I need help ASAP cause its not fun fixing the same thing 20 times. Any help appreciated! thanks Travis -------------------- "One of the most Crazy and Undecisive Members in central Illinois"

Will it shift okay with the engine off? Are you sure you bled all the air out of the hydraulics? If you don't have someone helping you sometimes you can suck air back in through the bleeder valve.

And there's always the problem with the clutch pedal bushings under the dash.
Check all of these things and make sure. -------------------- "I hear he tunes the space shuttle also...and that thing is fast"

Also, don't forget that your master cylinder can be a cause of leaks. Once you start strengthening the rest of the system, the weak spots start showing themselves.

Yes I did have help with the bleading and Im 99% sure its blead correctly w/ no air.
The tranny goes into all gears fine with the engine off. I did not put washers behind the pivot ball because I found it not necessary with the brand new clutch fork and pivot ball! Well, Im not 100% on the syncro deal, but if anyone knows what was done to Tommy's tranny , cause thats the one i have now. I bought this one off him. he said they were replaced and that it worked fine for him. I was aiming towards the master cylinder since it held [ressure right after the bleading and then a few days later it was weak again. i havent checked for leaking, where are places to look? Also, have any of you used an autoparts master cylinder? -------------------- "One of the most Crazy and Undecisive Members in central Illinois"

Check the driver foot well or the firewall for fluid. Those are the most common places.

A washer behind the pivot ball would be beneficial even with new parts. A stronger clutch might just need that extra throw. Shoot, brent needed two washers on his, and it was a stock clutch!

It has a Centerforce clutch in it, so i guess if i come to the conclusion that its not pressure related then I will try the washer thing!
I will keep you guys updated after this weekend! thanks for all the advice -------------------- "One of the most Crazy and Undecisive Members in central Illinois"
