Ok guys we were hooking the battery back up after the HIN and the allen wrench hit the strut bar and arched. Now the volts seem to be spiking while driving. The lights are flickering and the volt meter on my turbo timer is reading like 14.3 to 14.8. If it goes above 14 then the lights flicker. Do you guys think its the alt.? I had it tested on the car at Advanced and they said it was ok but at that time my Turbo timer was only reading 13.8. Any imput. Someone is buying the car on Wed so I want to make sure everything is cool before the sale.

Put a logger on it and do some logs. That'd be the best way to get data from something other than the turbo timer.
BTW, I think I saw you in Advance. You came in and Stephanie helped you with the Arbst tester. I was the guy in the black jacket with the shocks on the counter. -------------------- "I hear he tunes the space shuttle also...and that thing is fast"

I am going to replace the alt today see what that does. The thing is that it is only one month old but we`ll see what happens.

I had them test the alt yesterday while it was on the car and they said it was fine but yesterday I took off the alt and took it in and they could even test it because it was popping the breaker on the machine. To make things worse I install the new one and then took for a drive and then the car lost voltage. Well the other alt popped the 100 amp fuse in the main fuse box under the hood. almost got a speeding ticket on the way home on 150 for going 68 because I was trying to get home in a hurry. The cop pulled me over and I told him the story and he did not believe me. But then my dad showed up to jump the car then the cop was singing a different tune. He was nice as can be after that. I dont blame him though. I am sure he has heard it all.
