after being ripped off twice on turbos, i ordered an evo3 16g from ams. wort came down and we got my car put back together and after tracing down some electrical issues, it finally runs right
currently it has:
balance shaft elimination
emissions delete
2.5" downpipe
3" catless exhaust
144 intake tube(slightly modified)
2g maf
ported 2g ex man
fuel pump rewire
evo3 16g
fic 950cc injectors
magnecor wires
eprom ecu with wortdog chip

while fixing it, i put on a new alternator, new battery, new belts, charged the a/c, put in stainless ex man studs..
inside the car i added an alpine cde-9852 cd/mp3 player, defi control unit, and defi bf water temp gauge

anyway, here are the logger files. let me know what ya think. i am getting a bit of knock, but i was running on 89

I haven't looked at the logger files but just a quick question... why run 89?

because it was parked with very little gas and i only had a gallon jug of gas so i poured it in and used most of it up while charging the a/c. i didnt have enough gas in the car to drive to the edge of town where i can get 93, so i went to the closest station and the highest octane they have is 89. i did it out of neccessity the car was sputtering just going to that station

thats no typo. my stock 450's were maxed out at 104% duty cycle
i had the 950's setting on a shelf so i threw them in and had wort flash me a rom. i'd rather have big and run low duty cycle than have small and run a high duty cycle.
the highest duty cycle the injectors have done so far is 46%
i am considering running e85

with duty cycles like that I would guess that you can definately flow enough through your injectors to run E85... my only concern is (just as with everyone else who is doing it) how long will all of your fuel related seals and gaskets last with all of that alcohol in the fuel system. most stock (non E85 compliant) gaskets and seals are designed to hold up to NO MORE THAN 10% alcohol. and E85 is of coarse 85%.... if you don;t mind the problems associated with running E85, I have heard that there are a few people making good numbers on the stuff.

just threw in ngk's today. bpr7es
it was still kinda slow because it was only boosting to 10psi. last night it creeped to 20psi. as soon as it gets above 10psi it pulls pretty damn good. i threw the mbc on and turned it up to 16psi. it pulls pretty nicely once ya get into boost. i think perhaps i need to downgrade to like 680cc injectors.

You need more fuel up top BAD!!!!! You need to add a huge chunk of fuel past 5000. DO NOT do any more pulls until you fix that. You are about to melt something.

Notice how your O2 sensor drops out past 6000. Disclaimer: I am not saying to tune by O2 voltage, but they can be helpfull. At WOT your O2 is usually lagged behind by 500 -1000 RPMS because they are slow and inaccurate for WOT. What we see happening between 6000 and 7000 is your O2 dropping from a normal range of >.8 to .6 kind of range. If your O2 drops to a level that is within the resolution of a narrow band, then you are WAY to lean. To guess you are probably running between 14.7 and 14.0. Add fuel past 5000 and the knock should disapate a whole lot.

Also, your low trim is pegged at 81 and your O2 trim is also low at the same time. You need to take some fuel out at idle. You will probably need a reburn if you don't have a SAFC to tweak things with. Either way I'd have Wort set your injector size lower(say to 850cc) and take out 20-25% from 0-150hz.

For a quick fix, turn the screw on the bottom of the MAF all of the way in. If that is not enough, put a small piece of tape across the lower unmetered honeycombs.

Under some RTV there's a big screw, flat head if I recall. You probably need enough fuel that you'll need the block off the entire lower honeycomb.

I'm in Montana so I haven't gotten a chance to look at the logs, but you NEED to buy a fuel pump ASAP. I don't think richening up the tune is going to work at all, I bet the 180k mile stock pump just isn't cutting it.

Also, I just recalled that the Bosch O2 sensor you got for the car doesn't always work all that well in DSMs.

The way the intake pipe is hooked up is probably what's messing with the fuel trims so much though, you might want to get an intake pipe for a 2G maf.

Just get the HP, they flow about the same amount of fuel at low pressure anyway.

went to st louis sunday. the car ran horribly. on the way back, the clutch pedal went to the floor and the clutch wouldnt disengage. the gear shifter wasnt hitting gears right either. so i got it jammed into 5th gear and was able to get home on that.
i did get my fuel pump, filter, and pcv valve in.
this car slaps me in the face all the time sad.gif
