BTW - Those are the nickle and dime issues that make the difference between a wednesday and Friday car from the factory. The bad part is when that kind of issue is internal in the engine. You got very lucky my friend and I'm happy to hear it!

I do believe a ride is in order! biggrin.gif

With a reply to ungodly stock preformance....get this...my 90 laser turbo, complete with full interior and leather seats, ran a 14.9 completely stock with destroyed suspension down in Daytona. I have the slips to prove it. This is FWD with 78k on the motor and body....AMAZING. Travis can attest for it, the car gets up and goes....

That's pretty sweet because my 1992 AWD could only muster a 15.46 on the G-tech when stock. This was at 90K miles with only like 15k mile on the engine and tranny rebuild!

Jim pulled off a 14.9 with his 2g with only a 2100 clutch in it.

I was able to pull a 14.3 with only a K&N, catback, and test pipe in my 93.... not even a MBC. Definately a wedensday car.

Curb weight of a stock 92 FWD Laser RS-T: 2,745lbs.
Curb weight of a stock 92 FWD Talon TSi: 2,778lbs.

That's thirty some pounds, probably interior, body cladding, maybe wheels?

With that kind of knowledge, you could pass nate with the most detailed knowledge of the cars available.

Laser wheels are about 4 pounds lighter apiece than the talon and eclipse wheels I believe. And the weight of that body cladding is roughly 30 pounds or so If I remember right (if your laser has no spoiler).
