Been thinking of ways to lose some weight this year. One thing that come to mind is some plastic racing seats like Summit sells. Anybody have some experience in these? My only concern is the hour trip to Cordova...in a plastic seat=crippled old man.
![]() They make padded covers which would be an option to make them a little more comfortable. What else is out there that doesn't cost a million? Are these seat safe to use with standard seat belts? -------------------- 92 Eagle Talon TSI AWD "The Black Golfball" How fast can a 14B go???

akamiami would be a great person to hit up on techniques for lightening the DSM. AnAlUbE was a very anorexic beast when he got done with it. I think he custom made brackets for some racing seats that save a crap load of weight.

I never rode or drove that car... but I did sit in it once, WOW, I would come down with Osteoporosis before I could have made it to Cordova in that seat.
definately lacking in the comfort department, but it was a good functioning seat -------------------- You CAN sleep in your car, but your CAN NOT race your house!!!

Corbeau makes a decent one... the Clubman I think. Not reclineable, but not terribly uncomfy. I'm 6'1", 175. You could also try Kirkey aluminum seats, with a cushion for the drive.

if you get the aluminum seat or the plastic seat and the cushion seems to lack too much you could always just take a lesson from the older people and put an old flat crappy pillow under your butt and another one behind your back.then when you get to the track take them out.
