my first thought is the same as with every DSM. Check for boost leaks! If you don't have a tester, go to www.vfaq.com. That will find every vacuum leak. Plug them all, vent your crank case gasses like awd4kicks suggested.
I'm going to guess that your minimum throttle screw is to far out, your throttle position sensor is misadjusted, or your temperature sensor is bad. Here's my logic. At 0 throttle the ECU cuts out all fuel because you are decelerating. At 1600 RPMS the ECU reinstates fuel to catch your idle. If you try to idle above 1600 then you get throttle surge. During throttle surge your RPMS will rise above 1600, then fall over and over. The only time you can idle above 1600 is if your car is in warm up mode. -------------------- GVR4 866/1000 = the perpetually broken car
