Interesting. I found myself in a bit of a pinch recently... the outcome was something that I have enjoyed more than one would of thought.
The car in question is a 97 Eclipse GS. NA, hell I think it even has a 420a neon engine in it. Power... Lack of power. Nothing close to the 1g rockets of yesteryear, but its capible for a commuter. I was leant the car by a trusting individual with my promises to trouble shoot and rectify the electrical gremlin that has taken a foot hold in the car. It was apparent where that gremlin took residence and he was quickly dispatched with a pair of wire cutters and some BLACK RTV... oh yeah... Its the smell of it I think, it takes me away to a familar place of chemically induced bliss.. The smell, so pungent you can taste it.... black r t v ...... I like it. I like it alot. So with the consistant battery drain removed, I moved on to the next issues. A door that seemed no to want to latch home as it should.. This kept the dome and floor lights on, adding yet again... another battery jump to the mix. A little lube, and we are all good.. Amazing how often a little lube goes a long way to get things into a tight pocket. Driving the hundred horse commuter is a bit bland. It goes, it stops, it cruises at 60 just fine. Not bad really, by all accounts. Not something I would personally want to drive day to day, hell my Jeep could destroy this thing without a seconds hesitation.. It does however get incredible milage. With the utter lack of performance that this engine has to offer, it makes up for with economy. The handling isnt to bad, and the breaking is firm and solid. Cruising with two children is a breeze, and the cockpit is comfortable. This has prompted me to yet again, want to drive another 2g gsx... Consider me in the market... hell, why not. The economy is in the pooper, might as well drive myself into an early grave with a premeditated txcase failure, right? -------------------- Need a boost in the pocket book and with your health?
the real deal If your not interested in an extra grand a month, cool beans... Its working for me. |

Yeah why not???
Reminds me of the 4g37 in my Eclipse... -------------------- If the sound of a DSM in the distance rowing through the gears gives you a hardon, you might be a car enthusiast.
