Are there any differences in blocks from 90 to 94? Does anyone know about how much it cost to have the block machined? If so who do you recomend to do it? Thanks fellas.

90 to mid 92 are 6 bolt cranks and then they are 7 bolt cranks from then on. The blocks are different between 6 and 7 bolt motors.

I went to Mullvain's in E Peoria for my cylinder head work.

I've used Kalina in Peoria for crank polishing and flywheel surfacing on my DSM.

I've used Shots in Galesburg for small black chevy work, block, crank, pistons.

All of them did a good job, customer survice wise I'd rate them Mullvains, Shots, Kalina.

Mullvain does good work and is a real nice guy. Not sure what all capability he has though; know he's got an engine dyno there
