Mike at Gateway :), also Mikes Time slips :( Options

hello Gang,
Well I get a call from a buddy at 20 till quitin time at work and Joe says he is going to the Test and Tune at Gateway. He asked if I would like to come along so I decided to make an evening of it and brought the Girl along. It was only 15 bucks to get in the door and to race from 5-10pm! I was all about this. I took some pics of the event in the event folder HERE.
There are also time slips in there of all four runs that i did. I did not get there till 7 or so and left at about 9:30pm! at 9pm there was no line to race but maybe 12-15 staged cars. Pretty short! I had to leave do to no gas left and put my tail between my legs and left.
I have a stock motor 2k2 dodge boat, I mean stratus. This thing wieghs like 3200lbs from the factory. WOW that is one heavy car. I know that this car is not made for drag racing it is a nice sport luxury car for low $20's.
Best time 16.712 @ 82.50 wich means I just get out of second and I have to slow down! very sad

Here is were I need your help! I need, no I have to have, a DSM! Once you go down the track it is an addiction man! I never really understood why most of you guys put all your heart in this shit till now. hey Dan, are willing to do some trading?? I really want one bad. If some one is looking for a good daily driver I think I will be selling my dodge stratus real soon!

Just keep in mind that going fast often means broken parts, which means lots of time and money (which can get even worse when you can't do all the work yourself!). It's an addiction just like a drug. It's caused poverty, failed relationships, and even death... just to be able to go fast.

Maybe a second car would be in order? You'll really want to look for a 92 AWD, Mike... and Dan just happens to have one for sale! He's having a lot of work done to it, also, so it would have a lot of the big stuff taken car of already.

Yeah It bit me hard last night! ohh and get this my car broke down on the way home from the dentist this morning! GRRR! some damn electrical problem. Hmmm hey dan what are you selling the 92 AWD for?
