ok this is whats happening to my car; ill be driving along and all of the sudden it starts running ragged, the tach goes crazy, and my car looks like it is trying to tear itself apart. it sounds like it to. i think its the o2 sensor, but its not throwing any codes so i dont know if it is or if it isnt. i also had a professional look at it, and they said it was fine, but when i was starting to driving home,it started again so i took it back(while it was still being a bastard) and he said it sounded like it was trying to fix it self and that it was he distributor.... so if you have any clues, let me know....

i just had a new flex pipe put on, can that pose any problems...???

I know in the case of my escort, it does that because the alternator doesn't work and the turn signals make the tach bob up and down.

i have been thinking it might be the altenator because when i press on the gas my lights dim, could it be an electrical problem that i have overlooked, or could it be in the fuel system
