The only cars that are DSM's are the 90-94 talons, eclipses, and lasers as well as the 95-99 eclipses and talons. Turbo models only, though 90-94's with the 2.0L NA motor are generally accepted as well.
GVR4's and NT 2g's are just included because they're somewhat similar in either engine or body respectively. Everything else is just not even close. The Evo's are most certainly not DSM's. Both the engine and the body are remarkably different. -------------------- my cars breath smells like car food

What Mike is looking for are models that are accepted on DSMCentral as members. That's a much more varied list than the traditional DSM.

Well if your gonna consider a 2.0 NA a dsm, then you should consider a 1.8 also. I have owned both as automatics and for a 40 hp difference, you really cant tell it driving it. And you can turbo a 1.8 also, although its pretty pointless. I really actually want a turbo car, but with school and a long distance girlfriend i just cant afford to dump the 1.8 and get a different car.
I guess it doesnt matter, it still has the DSM stickers on it like all the others. I just dont want to be excluded from being a DSMer because my car isnt turbo -------------------- 2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS- Pretty daily driver

If we are going to include the EVO VIII then I think that we also need to include the '00-current 3G Eclipse (all models)....IMO
at least they still carry the name plate (not trying to take away from the EVO VIII cause I would give my left nut for one -------------------- You CAN sleep in your car, but your CAN NOT race your house!!!

WE never have from the past. the reason for including the EVO is due to the 4g63 engine style. that and some of the guys on here have some -------------------- |

Agreed, and to take an idea from Katie, I think that the eagle vision and mitsubishi mirages that have the 4G63 swap would certainly be welcome in the ultimate fwd sleeper category. -------------------- my cars breath smells like car food

I agree that the only true, full blood DSM's are the 90-99 Turbo Eclipse, Lasers, and Talons. From there I think the rest are a lot of cousins that are like our extended family. Just as long as you don't sleep with them, they're ok.
