I've been watching this pretty closely, thought I had posted something on here but must not have. It's a very interesting design, starting off as a 2 stroke diesel and possibly changing to gas at some point. Initial use is for military, but I'd guess with the power numbers great balance, it'll be out in the private sector in 5-10 years. Really cool technology and out of the box design work.

the coolest thing about it is that balance. there is no load at idle on the crankcase. I'm sure that changes when load is applied to the crankshaft, but the power generation process in and of itself adds no load, so they could use 2 main bearings, which would allow the use of roller bearings instead of what we're used to for main/rod bearings.

they say it's very quiet, you almost don't know it's running
