...........wow. Ok then. That was poetic..haha. Just the other night i was trying to explain to my roomate why that kind of "thing" is necessary from time to time. And, more over, why it is fun. He didn't get it. He drives a 89 caprice that he baught for 300 bucks....he hates cars. I swear, if he could go back to a horse and buggy, he would. Oh well. |

I am too new, and i haven't met anyone on here to my knowlege. But, that being said, i think the vote should just go out to all the lovely ladys who put up with these testoterone cans we call cars. And, more over, put up with the guys who drive them. |

My dad used to drag camaros back in the 70s. he has quite a few interesting stories too. Like when it caught on fire at the strip....haha. Coincidently, the first time he took my mom out was in an rx-7, and they drove around town racing. That is until the cops cought up to them in a parking lot, and they had to run........ I guess times really haven't changed all that much after all. |

I am suprised you all feel that way. Hell, i knew nothing about this car before i got it, and i just thought it looked good. One of the reason i was sold was because of the interior. I think its awesome. Sorta like sitting in a cockpit....:vrooomvroomm, weeeeeeebleeo!: I like to pretend my car has guns on it and i shoot people while driving....like batman. |

I laughed my @$$ off. Seriously, this is funny as hell. I don't agree with his political veiws, but oh well.....its still great. (note: i happen to like hondas, and feel that everyone is entitled to drive what they want. Besides, if everyone drove a dsm, i would have to spend even more money to be faster...) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...&category=32822 |

Cool. I wasn't sure if it meant "central america" which would denote illinois missouri, indiana, etc, or if it was "central illinois". So thats cool. I just wanted to know. Thats good news too, because that means that when i get my car back, hopefully i will be able to get together with some other dsm'ers from the area. |

Man, i wish i would have been a part of this board when my car broke. It would have saved me lots of time and stress. Unfourtunately, i already have made arrangements to pick up an engine from a guy in joliet. But i thank you for the offer. Where do all you people live anyway? Because if its close to me, next time i need work (and i am sure there will be a "next time") i will come to one of you guys. Hell i would rather pay someone who drives one of these cars than some guy who just wants my cash. |

jesus. Where do you guys live? And why don't i know people with engine lifts and tools and brains and such that rent themselves out for beer and pizza?!? I mean jeez, beer and pizza is cheaper than the 3.50 i get charged everyday for my car being at the shop while i try to find a way to make money to fiz it. Its like one big friggen hole. I think i ma up to about 450 bucks, in holding fees alone. , and thats not including the cost of actually getting the motor put in....... i think i am gonna cry now....... |

its torn up. Timing belt slippd, and now i have MAYBE half the valves left, and most of those are bent, and cylinders 2 and 3 have dents in the top big enough for me to fit the top of my pinky finger in. Looks like some devilish smiley faces.... So, according to the shop, it wouldn't be economical at all for me to rebuild the engine. After seeing it, i am inclined to agree. Not only that, but who knows what other sh!t was flying around inside there. I want to be able to mod the car (just to maybe 275-300) later, and i certainly DON'T want to have to do this again. So i figured a new engine would be the best way to go. Little did i know it would cause me soooo much trouble and stress. So yeah. Thats why. Do you have any ideas? Does anyone? Let me know if so. |

Yeah, there you go. I ordered one from a company online, and its over a month late, so i say f' em. And i now need one of these engines asap. I have some money, but the shop where its at is getting really pi$$ed off (its been there 4 months) and they told me i really need to get it out of there. So, if anyone has any ideas, or better yet, has an engine, let me knwo asap. thank you. |
