Unsolicited, the almost-17 year old wants a '2000 Eclipse with manual transmission and the real tall spoiler in that purple-ish color'.

So, you can see, this one HAS fallen far from the tree.

I know for a FACT he doesn't want the 2000 bodystyle, but the 99 or prior. I don't know about the spoiler, though. I know there was one that was tall, sure, but I don't know which DSM or model(s) it appared on.

Anyway, if you can help me figure out which model(s) had that spoiler, I'd appreciate it. His budget's gonna be around $1000 or just over, I think. He's actually doing pretty well saving. But he's not turned a wrench or really gotten his hands dirty before. So a good running one would be the right ticket - if it can be found in that price range.

For that matter, I'm sure his choice could be swayed for the right car at the right price, too. *Laugh* But if you can help me id the right models I'd appreciate it!

Thanks!

No, this isn't a plea to get it working. I just liked it quite a bit and was wondering if anyone knows of anything else like it online? Sure, it wasn't perfect, but it was a cool way to keep info about your car organized and even share it if you wanted.

Thoughts?

Some of you know the story here. I purchased these with autocross rubber mounted, shaved, heat-treated, etc. for the Evo. The wouldn't clear the calipers. This was NOT Tire Rack's fault, it was mine as I ordered them this way after they told me it wouldn't work.

(Insert crass comments about my intelligence here)

I did NOT want to add what I approximated as just over 10mm spacers. I promptly ordered the size they recommended and had the AX rubber dismounted from the original RPF1s and mounted onto my current RPF1s. I've been sitting on these wheels since that time (last summer).

***These are in the boxes for the wheels that DID fit my car, 17x8.5+30 NOT the originals as the originals shipped with tires mounted***

The work was done at Kauth & Mayeur. They handled all parts cleanly and wonderfully, I must say.

These have not been mounted on a car. The weights have not been removed. They come with valve stems, centering rings, lug nuts, socket extension, boxes, and packaging including the 'hairnets'.

I'd prefer not to ship. Tire Rack is selling these at $238 each. I'm selling these at $850 for the set of four only.

Pristine 16-17 pound racing wheels for less than retail and save yourself the shipping!

PM for dibs/questions!

After posting a second for-sale ad here today, I'm remembering the Exchange and wondering how we go about handling FS items?

Thanks.
