Are you or someone you know interested in playing in the dirt with us Hillbillys? Well I've got the place for you to start. Fairbury Speedway is evaluating a new beginner class, trying to determine if there is interest enough to proceed with it (after weighing pros and cons). If enough people show interest in putting together cars, then the Board will hold a meeting with potential drivers, and decide whether to pursue the class from there. It will be a limited Modified class, or B-Mod, with target cost in the range of $5k or less. If interested, contact me directly or email fals.bmod@gmail.com, and I can provide you with the full rules for the class.
For those technically minded (and interested in the details), this class is based around keeping costs down by limiting horsepower through a 5500rpm rev chip and restrictor plate, and limiting traction through hard tires, and leaf spring or 3 link suspension. It's VERY cool that you are puting this together Jason! It's not my cup of tea, but I'm sure you will get a lot of interest in this kind of thing. Good luck man!

Yeah it's been an interesting process. It's slow going, I don't know that we'll get it in for next season, but hopefully season after at the least.
