Is the 2.4 in the mighty max trucks the same as the block from the Galant that we love to build strokers with? Just curious.

Yes and no. I believe it's from 87-89 the 2.4L was the one that will fit with the correct AWD bell housing. Check RRE's website, they have a listing for what will fit and what won't.

Tradin post has one listed in Leroy for the tune of $800 with a spare motor/tranny. I was gonna jump all over it, but it looks as though the year is a miss.
