If you're still looking for a stroker shortblock, you can have my old one for free. It does need new rings at a minimum, and new pistons wouldn't hurt.

-Eric

I agree that is pretty awesome! That does sound like the super deal that may get me off of dead center. Where are you located these days? Are you still in Champaign area? Message me on FB or e-mail if you don't want to post it here.

Thanks,
Marcus

Gentlemen,

As no surprise to any with breath in their lungs, it aparent that DSMCentral has run it's corse. It should be mentioned that it was a formidable and respectable run that originated out of nothing but business cards on fellow DSM'rs windshields. DSMCentral was more than I had ever hoped for and was comprised of incredible people, some of which I will never lose contact with. I have made life long friends and made memories that will always be cherrished.

With that being said, I have decided not to renew the DSMCentral hosts fees. As of this May, 2012 DSMCentral.com; for the first time in 12 years, will fall off of the intenet's radar. I thank you for your particiaption and friendship. As the creator of DSMCentral I bid you all adiue.

We will have to see. I've been contemplating it. Weighing it out with just getting a newer bad ass machine to start fresh with. Plus, I can always open up a stretch of road on my Sportster... It's just a lot slower! laugh.gif

Just an update here. Ordered some Kelford 272 copy cams from Delta. Billets FTW. Head has been done.

1g head
Maperformance valves and evo ti retainers
Revised lifters
Stock guides with super tech seals
Maperformance beehive valve springs
Delta K272 cams
SCE Titan copper head gasket

Staying with a 16g for now. Unfinished business to tend to. smile.gif

Going to work on the car Wednesday and Thursday so I can drop the head on when they get here. Getting excited smile.gif

Good to see some life in the local DSM world. Spring is right around the corner. It's going to be good driving weather soon... and I'm getting the itch for some time on an open road!

A new rear wheel drive, two door Subaru that looks the classic looks of a real sports car!?! Very cool! I like that they have pushed the engine back to improve the weight distribution. Looks like they are aiming to have a bigger presence in drifting.

Well if I were to put it back together I would be looking for a stroker motor. Right now that's not high on my priority list unless there is a super deal out there somewhere.

Well Chris and I pulled the cylinder head off in short order. I was correct that there was some confilct between the number one cylinder and the valves. Unfortunately it wasn't for a reason I had anticipated. There is some slop in the number one piston stroke causing contact with the cylinder head. So there is trouble in the bottom end as well. Probably a bad rod bearing. That's too bad since it is a Buscher Stage three bottom end with less than 5000 miles on it.

Chris has motivated me into finally pulling the cylinder head to see what's going on with the Talon. So This Saturday we will see what we have in there to work with and determin a solution to get it on the road.

It's been a while since I've put a wrench to her. Kinda looking forward to it. Especially with some good helpful company.

I'm cutting down to one car for the time being. I'll post up pics and details when I officially own it.

Bring the new ride Kapoosh. Those things are pretty sweet! If not... Hell bring the M3 if you haven't sold it yet.
