so frustration setting in....
before frustration was setting in due to breakage.... now it is different.... car has been for sale for 6-8 months now... with nothing but lowballers and trade offers well below what I am willing to take. so I started thinking.... would I be selling it if it were reliable... the answer.... NO, why would I.... so the next question I asked is what would it take for my car to be reliable.... breakage history falls into three catagories intercooler couplers breaking (majority of breakage) oil cooler seal breakage (once, now fixed) rotten coolant lines breaking (second largest failure rate) so I am thinking of giving the Mutant one last chance to perform.... I am swapping out the big EVO 8 FMIC for a more simple supra side mount or stock sidemount and I am going to go through and swap out all of the old rottem coolant lines..... properly tune the car and make the car a more enjoyable peice..... Car is now officially off of the market again.... how many of you knew this would happen???? I know I will hear spy chime in with a yes!!!! -------------------- You CAN sleep in your car, but your CAN NOT race your house!!!

Here's the key...
You can't price something at what it's worth TO YOU, and always expect to sell it. If you're not willing to sell for current market value, don't waste your time. I could try to sell you a penny for a dollar, but that penny isn't worth anymore than a penny to you... Good luck with the fixes, it sounds like the problems you've been having are pretty minor in comparison to some. -------------------- The fastest car I own is a minivan....

you are probably right on both accounts.....
I probably value my car at more than what others might be willing to pay because I did the building..... I still do not think that my price was too high.... just higher than most were willing to pay and now that I think about it... my problems were fairly minor compared to someothers on this board.... kicks for example had far more catastrophic problems than I had. -------------------- You CAN sleep in your car, but your CAN NOT race your house!!!

If those are all of your problems I'd say you have it pretty damn easy...
My list, just from after the 6 bolt swap: Harmonic balancer Biss leaks New axle Power steering belt Hole in IC piping Bad FIAV Bad TPS Oil leaks that still aren't fixed I'm running in the 200*-210* range, need to be in the 190's... Tranny was grinding in third, then all the sudden wouldn't shift into any gears Lost a bolt on my Jpipe somehow And I'm still not tuned... can't until these god damn oil leaks are fixed... -------------------- |

well... the plans of now is to keep the car and fix what is not right.....
things mentioned here: runs in paint (fixed) color matched components (fixed) fuel lines(never mentioned... not ever an issue) coolant lines (still a few that aren't fixed, soon to be all new) taillights... sorry, not gonna change unless I were to sell, I like them fiero spoiler... also not gonna change, too much work to change IC and piping.... gonna change.... have to change blem in front end (fixed) other things that people have mentioned when looking at car: wheels.... very tasteful in my opinion, have offered stock wheels as replacement color..... not stock... not gonna change, too much money to change back engine vibrations in pass compartment.... urithane motor mounts do that price... I think I have discussed this issue above -------------------- You CAN sleep in your car, but your CAN NOT race your house!!!
