Wish I still had a pic to show of the buildup a guy I know did. He's now competing with Foose on his design work.

His project was a 70's firebird I believe, everything completely one off. Custom built interior, including dash, console, etc. Floor pan double walled and bottom painted/buffed/polished. Matching racing strip under the bottom, exhaust, suspension links, everything boxed in so nothing is visible. air ride suspension. LS1 motor, with no visible wiring in the engine compartment. Everything hidden, including the brake master cylinder which is built into the firewall, at a 90 degree angle with custom linkage. Dude gave him a credit card with like a 2500 monthly limit and said go to town.

As a result I got a nearly new (1000 mi or less) 3rd member really cheap for my mustang, with 373 and posi, simply because he wanted a polished alumnium housing instead of painted cast, so he bought all new. I think they said the bumper cost like 2k, because in the process of getting it ready for the detroit show, they were running late and overnighted it to California to get it chromed, and overnighted it back. Shipping alone was like 500 ea way

Cubic money plus skills equal both those cars.

Is it me or are Foose's designs all looking the same?? I know designers have a "certain way" of doing things but Foose's stuff all cookie cutter methods for selling products.

I liked his early work, and yes his style for all his builds is similar, but it's still amazing to me nonetheless. His artistic ability is some of the best I've ever seen, he has the mark of a true artist (can see things from any angle, including drawing upsidedown and backwards)

I also really like Rad Rides by Troy (http://www.radrides.com/home.php), specifically the Chicayne and the Quadraduece (pics under Gallery)

Troy does good work! I had a buddy (if you guys remember, its koolaid/Blake) who used to live near him in Mantino or wherever and he's got tons of pics of his project cars. he used to hang out near the shop and that's kinda what got him hooked on cars.

Troy work is excellant and he can build something other than show cars...Blowfish on the Salt is a good example!
