So, what exactly did you pay for, Budman. The way I understand it, it didn't cost you a dime. I've been in contact with this guy, and I gotta side with him. He drove from Nebraska to Illinois, paid a couple hundred bucks for the car, and stripped everything needed to get his stolen car back on the road. Then he gave you the rest in exchange for four rims, two of which were bent on the bead lip (probably from a curb-check) and one that the paint is so bad it should go to the scrap heap. That's the way it happened, isn't it? Tell the truth. What did you get out of the deal? Seems to me like quite a bit for nothing. Sell the intake, sell the cylinder head, sell the transmission, sell the engine block, sell the turbo... want me to go on?! You got a hell of a lot more for those four crappy rims that you would've had you tried to sell them on the open market. You didn't get screwed, so stop whining. Oh, and as for this "Caveat Emptor" stuff, it doesn't apply in your case anyway, because you didn't drop dollar one. You got stuff for free. How can you cry about that?! TJ |
