DSMCentral _ Kills _ New mustang GT500

Posted by: Dan Boles Sep 11 2009, 09:00 AM

Came across a GT500 White/blue the other day, crossing the border down in Mexico..
It started off, smooth enough.. A hint of supercharger whine.. and some tire smoke.. Nothing out of the norm.. Pushing my car through the gears, the pony car was stretching his legs and gaining ground...

Bottle pressure was just shy of 900. Should of turned on that bottle warmer a little earlier.. oh well.. no time to relish in what would of could of..

I hit the arm switch once I got in third.. that 4 car lead that the stang had stretched out was instantly now only 2... by the top of third I was at his tail.. banging fourth I poured on the heat.. The nitrous hit wasn't as strong, but strong enough to put a full car on him by the time I hit the rev limiter.

Im smiling ear to ear, and ease her into fifth gear.. Only to hear the tell tale sound of that supercharger screaming, as the GT500 regains the ground I put on him... I go ahead and wood it, but my tank is empty and I only have the measily 400hp on tap.. His progress slowed, but it was all for not. He drove past me like I had put it in reverse.. SUCK! The driver, a man with graying hair, had this grin.. mirroring my own only moments ago as he sprang fourth...

I ran fifth out to 6k, and my car always seems to get loose at those speeds, so I got out of it. him a solid 5 cars or so ahead and pulling... Didnt have a chance to talk to him. The Federali's were hot on my heels and I had to beat feat across the border...

Sitting at home, thinking about the events of the day, I finally understood the truth behind Paul Walker when he said... I need Naws... one of these big ones.... actually no.. Make it two and I need it tonight.... I never felt that way, ever in my life, until trying to chase down a 500hp mustang in a 400hp bird and the spray runs dry.
