No, this isn't a plea to get it working. I just liked it quite a bit and was wondering if anyone knows of anything else like it online? Sure, it wasn't perfect, but it was a cool way to keep info about your car organized and even share it if you wanted.

I've been pretty busy lately, but let me try and look in the next few days and see if I can find anything. If you don't see me post anything back here, just bump so I'm reminded

after a quick search i found this mod, which looks to be a freebee, and looks to fit our needs well. check it out and if you think this will work, I'll talk with Marcus and work on getting it installed.

Again, I wasn't looking to fire one up here, as much as see if they're out there elsewhere. I mean, where does everyone keep the car pics, info on their ride(s), etc.?

Well we'd actually been talking about reviving the garage mod on here, but I believe the one they had before was a paid one. It's not a real huge deal to get it going again, now that I found an open source one; I should be able to work on it next week and get it up and running.
I personally have my own website, and just keep stuff on there. Lots of ppl use photobucket, or something similar, but that's only for pics and doesn't let you do a whole lot with descriptions or keeping up on projects. These types of mods are much nicer for that sort of thing. -------------------- 1978 Mustang II King Cobra

I'll take a peek at the open source on you mentioned.
I was really just wondering if anything like we're talking about was up and running anywhere. I imagine the database is the real trick. -------------------- ... she likes bein' forced ...

I had a version setup on my personal server, but don't remember now if it's still going or not, and it was for a different type of forum (PHPBB). Most of the mods are pretty slick though. What I liked about this open source mod is that it can be used for not only cars, but any other collection type (dvds, cds, books, etc etc)

Garage is now known as the Registry. Still working on getting the thumbnails fixed, but it's back up and you can click on the images to see them.

GREAT work Jason! Everyone's information is still preserved from the last time the garage was avaialble! VERY VERY cool.
There is a button on the very first page of the site that says garage. Is it possible to link that one to the garage as well? -------------------- In Loving memory of David T Crebo

Wow! You're a rockstar! Well done!
When I looked over the app at the link you posted, I noticed that it hasn't really had anything done with it since '08. That makes me wonder a bit. But, I understand it is free to use and modify? Thanks again! -------------------- ... she likes bein' forced ...

yeah it hasn't really been modified, but the upgrade was a snap. it was the same version as was used before, just that it's "Registry" now instead of "Garage". But it was all pretty much automatic and easy to integrate, just a few minor things i had to fix, no biggy.
I still need to work on the front page, and get it fixed to where it shows a car like it was before. Getting some generic errors and haven't had much time to really troubleshoot it yet. -------------------- 1978 Mustang II King Cobra
