if not, how much do you want for all of the gunmetal gsx wheels?

has anybody ever installed a keyless entry system on their 1g? I bought one off ebay because i was pretty sure i could figure it out, but i have no idea now. it would be so much simpler if we had a switch to unlock and lock the doors, but instead its that crazy thing where if one door is locked, the other will go there too. i have no idea how to make the keyless entry system trigger that to unlock / lock... does anybody know?

its a non turbo, so no blow off valve. i replaced the spark plugs this morning, and drove it to work and back with no problems. i dont know if that fixed it, or if i was just lucky and it didnt happen today. the idle is smooth most of the time, but i've had it jump around on me a few times, especially with the a/c on. how do you set the idle with the screw on the TB? aren't you supposed to ground a wire first?

so now that i have my car going ive ran into a few problems. the only one i keep having trouble with is the engine likes to die at random times. it does it when i push in the clutch and take it out of gear and brake around a curve or something about once a day. if you turn the key it will start right back up though. sitting at an idle it does have some quirks, it doesnt keep a perfect idle, it speeds up and slows down a little, but its nothing bad. any ideas what could be going on? im almost wondering if its the battery, i bought a real cheap battery that has crap for amps, do you think it could be causing this? or whats the deal with the isc on these?

thats fine with me. how are you going to go about getting this? the car is 5 miles north of delavan, which im sure you have no clue where thats at, so more or less about 15 minutes south from pekin. or for a little more i can bring it to pekin, east peoria, or somewhere within that distance range.

hey i forgot i posted this and so i'm a little behind. i have the car until sometime this afternoon, so i can still pull things from it today.

i would give you the windshield real cheap if you removed it, i would do it but i haven't ever removed one before and dont think it sounds like an easy task. $30 and its yours

yes it does have air. what harness are you talking about? if you could explain where its at, i could pull it off. all the wire harnesses are intact yet. you can have it. if your close, i'll deliver it for $10, or i could ship and you pay me the cost of that by paypal or something

call me on my cell if you can think of anything else. i will be out there most of today and probably wont be getting online.

yeah ecu's dont need to be changed because i am not changing engines or injectors. i have the 2.0L 7 bolt non turbo. i'll do the swap myself. i've taken the automatic out of it several times... its nothing that has to be running right away (car hasnt been driven in over a year), but i would like to drive the car to work and whatnot instead of my ranger...17 - 18 mpg is not what i need right now...

QUOTE (AWD DSM 1 @ May 12 2005, 08:12 PM)
Really? Just seems odd I guess....

If you're serious about the swap, I have a 92 MT 1.8 that I can get you everything you need for the swap (save a mt turbo ECU) for $200, and I'll even pull it for you. Never offered it up before because I thought the parts were different. wacko.gif

why would i need a different ecu? isnt it the same. there is an extra auto transmission computer, but would trash that with the swap. both the 2.0's n/a and turbo are almost identical blocks. one exception is the oil squirters, but other than that (and different pistons it should be the same)...

but yes, this 1.8 92 sounds good. where are you at?

the 1.8 and 2.0 non turbo motors came with the same transmission. it will bolt right up, and then the fwd turbos have a stronger version of the transmission, and awds have obviously, the turbo trans but in an awd configuration. as long as the front axels are the same. i should be fine. can you find anything more out about this for me grimy4?
