You guys are gonna get sick of reading my posts but here I go! A kid wanted me to put a clutch on for him Sunday. So I tear in to it. I get the tranny off and pull the clutch. He then says I got a lightweight flywheel to put on. So I bolt it on and the new clutch. Put it all back together and go to start it so he can leave. All I hear is the starter winning. While he was putting the battery back in he arced it twice, so I thought maybe he fried the starter. I had a few laying around so I put a different one on. Same thing happened!!!
So I had to walk away from it. Go back out tonight and decide to pull it back apart. Pull the flywheel and compare it to the stock one. Well there's your problem!!!! It's about 1/4" smaller all the way around than the stock one!!! I felt like an idiot!! I should have compared the two in the first place!!! That's what I get for assuming it would be the right one. -------------------- 1991 GSX
