Well I traded the crx off for a 1994 Dodge stealth R/T (na)

I got it last night was told the water pump locked up and caused it to skip a tooth on the timing. Well I went out and checked it out today and both marks on the exhaust cams are off a tooth... So when it gets nice out I plan on pulling it apart and taking a look at the damage. Most likely going to try and do a FWD TT swap this summer...

All 7 bolts walk, it was just more prevalent in the 2g cars. Ragardless, a few reputable shops say the 7 bolts are the superior engine once the crankwalk issue is sorted.

Well in that case... Every engine can walk biggthumpup.gif

Yeah, first part of the year is the 6 bolt. Second half is the 7.

I have a 6 bolt motor to put in should this 7 bolt walk on me. smile.gif

It's a 1g 7bot so don't worry about it...

All this talk of LS-killing has me pumped.

The car I mentioned is a 92 TSI AWD. Maroon, red, whatever. Same as my buddy's. Has 7 bolt in it though... but 4 bolt rear. Evo III 16G. Been maintained really well. Socketed ECU and Chip burner with the software, wideband O2 sensor... all sorts.

For $1000. Only need another $450 so I can buy it including tax title license...

Not certain where you came across a 7 bolt '92, but I'd be wary.

I am pretty sure some of the later 92's had 7bolts...

It has a problem he said it gets a little hotter then it should.. So I am going to have to try and get that fixed and then I am picking up a mbc, logger, and afc... And then it's LS1 killing time    biggthumpup.gif

I hope you're going after stock automatics... I'd still be skurred of the Ellis Juan until you're solidly in the 12s.

I didn't have a problem keeping up with one when my GST was 100% stock... rolleyes.gif

QUOTE (JMoushon @ Sep 4 2008, 01:24 PM)
Launching a near-stock AWD is very easy... 5500 and let out the clutch fast. Don't dump it, but don't slip it too much. Also, don't practice too many times in a row, that 2100 will fry. Always allow it to cool down. My first time launching my '91 I cut a 1.81 60' on stock boost and a stock clutch. But, that's like my 6th AWD DSM...

Thanks for the advice.. biggthumpup.gif

Take it to Vicary Day!!! Should run low 14's on stock boost, and if you've got the fuel to turn it up, 13's all day. Looks just like mine wink.gif

If everything is working fine and I learn how to launch it then I will lol... biggrin.gif

15k on rebuilt motor and trans

HKS bov
custom 3 inch turbo back with magnaflow muffler
2 gauges and pillar pod (air fuel, boost)
new brake lines
cd player
short throw shifter
act 2100 clutch

It needs some little stuff here and there but nothing I can't handle. biggthumpup.gif
