QUOTE (99Spyder @ Jun 7 2006, 09:51 PM)
The injector size comes down to the control. With an S-AFC I think that you can get a decent idle with up to 720s. Any more than that and you should be chipped or sportin an EMS.

Don't forget that DSMLink is another option, too.

Congratulations, Nate!

When my baby girl was born, I thought that it was the greatest day of my life. Turns out, though, that every day since then is better than the previous one!

How are you planning on controlling your fuel? You might wanna look into getting a DSMLink. That is unless you're hoping that the translator will do a good enough job.

That's not a SPEC. It's one of SBR's own.

The 60-shot of nitrous probably helps.

The 7es plugs should help.

He really only needs the BPR6ES plugs for now: stock turbo, stock injectors, and stock-ish boost levels. But, planning ahead isn't a bad idea, either biggthumpup.gif.

No, that would be your accelerator cable.

Don't you have another thread about this?

Good call Germs!

Well sorta...what I described just happened to me about 6 weeks ago. Had to get a brand new accelerator cable (not throttle cable) for ~$50 from Satan, which I guess is pretty cheap.

Anyway, be sure to check that out too, Travis.

Have you verified that your accelerator cable is not frayed and therefore binding up inside the sleeve? If you can open/close the throttle plate by hand, your problem isn't there...if your gas pedal goes down but pulls up (by hand) with difficulty, it's probably the accelerator cable.

Low coolant level may also cause the car to idle high.

Where can I get a 144 intake? I PM'd akamiami, but he must not check his PMs very often. I saw one on ebay last week, but it's already gone. Are you still making them?

Since it's a '90, you might want to replace the cams. I don't know if you were planning on using aftermarket, or if you already changed them, but the stock '90 cams will negatively affect your performance above ~5500rpms, or so.

Wouldn't that depend on your fuel lines, especially the return line? Or am I way off, here?

If anyone picks this up, I'm interested in the whole exhaust system and possibly the intake.

His dyno isn't "off." The dyno measures certain parameters which spits out a number that you put into a formula that's specific for the dyno. It's a correction factor that accounts for drum drag, mainly, I believe.

I'll agree with Drew: Ron knows a lot about tuning. He's a pretty nice guy, too. How did he do for you, Todd (Super16G)?

i have a 93 gsx and just started having some problems with reverse. for like a week it wouldnt go in like there wasnt a reverse at all in the car, and then just the other day it started working again and i havent had any problems since.

QUOTE (jpracer @ Nov 16 2005 @ 11:53 AM)
we just had the tranny out to change the clutch and there wasnt any leaks. all of the other gears work perfect though with no grinding or anything what so ever

So did you just take the tranny out AFTER you started having problems, or did the problems start after you replaced the clutch and put the tranny back in? From your other post, it seems that the problems may have started after the new clutch install. Or the 6000 rpm launches on a clutch that wasn't properly broken in may have something to do with the problem blink.gif

That log looks pretty good. I'm just wondering why your 14b doesn't kick in until 4k RPMs, though (unless that's just not listed in your mods ph34r.gif ).

No, it's not. BUT, maybe the alternator/water pump belt is loose enough (and/or the bearing IS seized) that it's not turning the water pump. Kinda far-fetched, but possible, I suppose.
