either check the tune and/or tune this car for a little bit of cash. It seems to run fine, just doesn't seem to maybe making the power it can/should be.

The mod list:

1999 GSX

Big T28 Turbo.

Larger side intercooler

Upgraded intercooler pipes

First generation DSM blow off valve

Ported exhaust manifold & O2 housing

Full 3" stainless steel exhaust system

255 gph fuel pump

550cc fuel injectors

DSM link - ECU

Underdrive crank pulley

Comments:
1) The current parts are matched pretty well. The turbo actually produces a reasonable
amount of Torque. The torque curve seems to hit nicely at highway speed.
2) The first gen BOV holds boost better than 2G.
3) The only tricky thing is the DSM link - it replaces the stock 1999 DSM ECU with a
1995 model. The 1995 model had a socketed programming chip, so it can easily be
replaced/reprogrammed. The programming I have is matched to 550cc injectors.
The custom tuning is in memory only, so when the ECU loses power, the chip reverts to
the version in ROM. You'll need a laptop with a serial port, the ODB-II cable, DSM-link
software to control the ECU. The documentation is on the CD.
4) The OBD-II cable and a DSM-link CD are in the box.
5) The switch to the 1995 ECU changes the plug wiring, see the DSM-link instructions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am curious about the ECU. I am not sure why you would need to switch plug wires around. the only time you need to do that is during a 6 bolt swap. unsure.gif

I don't have a clue, he bought it with the mods on it and it's clean as hell and seems to be really reliable. Just really wandering if there's more power left on the table.

How much power is a T28 good for?
