Either a diesel or high horsepower application. Where did you pick it up/what did you get it off of? The fact that it's just oil cooled and not part water cooled should be a better part in helping identify it. What are you looking to figure out once you identify it? just stats or what? Sounds to me like a turbo of that size could handle 700-800 horse plus.

This guy who is a friend of a friend, says he was going to be putting it on his GS. He wants $600 for it, it's never been used, i was just trying to figure out what model it would be, sounds pretty fishy to me.

Never been used for 600? I would find out where he got it from, that's awful cheap for a turbo of that size. Sounds fishy to me.

Not that fishy, IMHO. I can buy and sell T3/T4's new in the box for less than that all day long.

I am surprised that it's internally gated though.

Without opening it up it's hard to really know what wheels are in those housings.

How does he know the output (up to 35psi) BTW?

Interesting...I'll definitely keep you in mind whenever I decide to up the ante with a bigger turbo then. I was actually thinking of buying one from Straightlinespecialties.com for 800 but now that you mention it 600 or less sounds a little easier on my wallet. BTW, how are those tubular ss manifolds coming along? Any word on if they are going to modify the design to correct the present "radiator conflicting" ones?
