everyone will probably make fun of me for this, but does anybody know what kind of motor is in a '92 prelude 4WS? thats all i know about the car, im tryin to figure out if its a vtec or not. i do realize this is a DSM site so forgive me.

some of the guys on CII would probably know better, if you want to post on there. I was told once that the VTEC engines have "VTEC" stamped on top of the intake mainfold or in the vicinity of.... is this what you are looking at to replace the GST that you have up for sale???
it also matters if it is DOHC VTEC or SOHC VTEC, yes I was told they made both...True, dont know??? -------------------- You CAN sleep in your car, but your CAN NOT race your house!!!

It might be a non-turbo...although I don't know a whole lot about preludes. for the record though, if you want to know shit about Hondas on this board, chances are I know more than most, having owned one and having limited knowledge about them (sadly enough, I know more about Hondas than DSMs most likely!). Needless to say, I made a good choice and got out of the Honda game, although I wasn;t smart enough and I am still FWD

What tipped you off, the fact that it was a Honda?

honda currently makes two turbo vehicles ... a wave runer and a riding lawn mower type thing ... anyway ... preludes came in B20z dohc 2.0liter nonvtec,h23a dohc non vtec 2.3 liter,h22a dohc vtec 190 hp woohoo 2.2liter... check the block stamp ;-)
