 trouble with axels |

Ok, i have a 1994 eclipse gst (fwd). I need a new axel for the driver side but every where i go like autozone, knapa,ect they all have an axel for my year of the car but the spindle on their axel that goes into the transmission is smaller than the one that i have. I have herd that other people have had this same problem with there fwd eclipses, if anyone has a solution please let me know so i can fix this problem asap. I would like to avoid going to the factory and getting ass raped on the price but if that is the only solution i guess i will take up the tale pipe, anyway any info is greatly appreciated.

Any chance your Tranny is from a differnet year or a NT model?

ask some of the guys with hoards around here, like KOU or Spy. Then take your there and compare them. KOU and I had a couple problems with mine, but figured it out eventually.

maybe a equal length drive shaft mod is in order while you are in there.... but for a solution, i would agree with Rob's theory that it is possable that your trani was swapped

i would really like to have an equal length half shaft but i ran into the same problem with that. I bought one about 3 months ago and it did not work out. But yeh Spy or Kou if you guys have any lyin around let me know my half shaft is out of the car and ready to compare. Thanx for the tips though guys hopefully i will find something soon. Im open to any other suggestions though.

Another possibility is www.raxles.com if you can't find a used one or an equal-length. Great company to do business with.
