I am putting a 2G Exhaust Manifold ported onto my 1G GSX (because mines cracked, and the new one will flow better anyway) So i went ot mitsu to get a Exh. mani. gasket for the install... Well it doesn't fit. The top and bottom line up, but the gasket is to short on the sides to reach the bolts on the manifold. Im confused now. I went to mitsu and they said that they are all the same...now im REALLY confused (and so were they). They said it was a 2G manifold i had, but they wondered why it wouldn't work.

Does anyone have the length of their 2G manifold fron the longest part where it would bolt up, to the other end? I'm pretty sure its a 2G Manifold. I'll get measurements later when im home.

the only thing that would be different is that you have an automatic trans. manifold. that manual and auto are dirfferent.

This is on the 2G's.

wierd didn't know that.

Would it be possible to just drill through the gasket and still use it? It seems as if it would seal.
