i dunno if you guys can see that. so I'll just highlight some of the cracktard responses a guy got to swapping his 3sgte for a 4g63.

Good thing a knowledgeable eclipse guy came into this debate. I CAN argue that the 3s is a better engine than the 2g 4g63. The watercooled oil cooler is extrememly useless. IT doesnt do its job nearly as good as the 1g (very select few in 90) air cooled which i can admit was a good idea on mitsubishi. But what happens with the water cooled oil cooler is that the water can seep past the gasket on the oil filter housing and get into the engine and cause hydro lock. I have heard of this happening quite a few times. Also i had a fresh 4g63 into my 1g eclipse. IT was a 1g 7 bolt engine (93) and i was running at 9psi daily, i cranked it up to 13 one time and took it out for 5 minutes and it blew the head gasket really badly. the 4g63 is NOT a bullet proof engine, but is also a very strong motor if you are lucky to get one that was built from the factory right . Honestly, i think the 5sfe vs 4g63 in relibiality tests i think the 5s is BY far more reliable. Maybe becuase its NA and maybe becuase it has 125hp. But look at it like this. Compare the 3sge(or 5sfe) with a non turbo 4g63 and tell me which is more reliable. Also to note, the stock 1g turbo (tdo5h) is really a good turbo. It appears to be small but it can really flow better than the ct26. Also the 2g T25 is also a really nice turbo. But the ct20b is by far a much better turbo than both of those. Plus after owning my 1g eclipse GSTi will never own another mitsubishi in my life. Just my .02 cents.
