im writing a paper on turbocharged engines and i was going to use how much of a difference a turbo can make between a naturally aspirated dsm, and a turbo. so anyway, what is the highest horsepower you have heard a dsm of having. crank hp preferibly since i am using crank for the n/a version. i searched around and couldn't find anything. just as long as its still the 4g63 engine and whatever turbo... thanks
zac.

Probably either Brent Rau's or David Buschur's. I've never seen dyno numbers for either of them though. Darryl might have more info for you. I know he puts down shitloads of power.

There are 680WHP FWD vids floating around the net.

There's also an article on Shepherd's car in CarCraft I believe a few months back surmising close to 1000crank hp.

Both should be findable with a quick google search.

Here's John Shepherd's dyno sheet from when he was still running low 10s. I couldn't find anything on Buschur's website though.

The guess David and Brent are pushing aroung 1200-1300 or so at the crank.

with or without the use of nitrous? i'd like to subtract that off of there if it is which i think it is.

when the voice of god speaks... quote it in your paper. my guess, nitrous, and as secretive as things get at that level, that quote is as close as you'll get.

With or without nitrous? Yes.

For example with big enough turbo the nitrous may be used to spool the turbo and then turned after a few seconds. The peak horsepower produced is not changed.

Our nitrous is only a 100. I don't think to many run anymore than that.

with that much horsepower, i guess the nitrous isn't going to be hardly anything additional. but thanks everybody, im going to include quotes from this forum...

example from my sociology 310 paper entitled: "Gender Posturing in Perceived Anonymous Environments"

exerpt reads:

As such, the tendancy of interaction to heighten an individuals perceived anonymity drastically increases as the qualification basis is reduced. This is exemplified by overtly labeled insinuations, contrasting speech patterns, crude linguistic terminology, and behavior deemed socially unacceptable in public practice. Hotboy_6969 codified this claim in his www.butterhunter.net remark to M1Lf4U by stating "yo, dam girl, I lik to lick yo yp with teh sauce. you juicee? I lik jiucee g1rlz" (Internet, 2001).
